Worthington Industries is looking for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Lead who can work 1:45pm to 11:15pm. The 2nd Shift Maintenance Lead assists in the development, training, evaluation, and work schedules of 2nd shift maintenance employees throughout the facility. This role provides support to the shift or department supervisor in achieving daily and monthly goals in safety, quality, accuracy and production. The 2nd Shift Maintenance Lead is.responsible for troubleshooting mechanical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. Duties include preventative and mechanical maintenance. Expeirence and knowledge of machine repair is required. The ultimate goal of the 2nd Shift Maintenance Lead to safely achieve excellence in all facets of the role; providing the highest quality service safely, while effectively and efficiently increasing profits. This position acts on the behalf of the supervisor, if absent. An organized, self-motivated, problem solver that utilizes a strong work ethic for a 250+ union facility in Chilton, WI is required.

 

Starting Pay at $27.00 + $1.00 Shift Premium

 

Responsibilities

  • This role requires the ability to work 8-10 hours daily & on weekends

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner

  • Ability to work in a team environment focusing on meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards

  • Know, understand, and follow safety rules, policies and procedures

  • Complete mechanical repairs and makes adjustments as needed

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned

  • Successfully troubleshoot mechanical problems

  • Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction

  • Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Perform basic electricity in order to work in maintenance field safely

  • Perform all duties in the spirit of Our Philosophy and in accordance to legal, ethical and contractual practices

  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing
  • Mechanical, welding and cutting skills
  • Should be capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints
  • Good problem solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality
  • Have workbench and computer skills
  • Meter usage and ability to complete measurements
  • Basic math skills
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • May require CPR and first aid training
  • Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined spaced training
  • Experience with Allen Bradley and Allen Bradley PLC

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
