Summary

Worthington Industries is looking for a highly motivated and team oriented individual with excellent communication skills to intern with our Engineering department and assist with a variety of engineering projects. A detailed orientated, self-motivated, problem solver that utilizes a strong work ethic for a 300+ union facility in Chilton, WI is required. Pay starting at $15.00/hour.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Perform all duties in a safe manner

Ability to work in a team environment focusing on meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost standards

Provide support for Engineering team members

Help design and implement changes to help make systems more efficient

Work with assigned team members to complete projects effectively and on time

Suggest and recommend better ways of improving the quality of work in systems

Tool design / development

Reverse engineering

Fixture and machine design

Plant layout drawings

Project management

Follow company policies and procedures

Assist others as needed

Maintain a clean work area 

Complete paperwork as required

Perform all duties in the spirit of Our Philosophy and in accordance to legal, ethical and contractual practices

Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Desired Experience

Actively enrolled and pursing an engineering degree at an accredited college or university with first year completed

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works

Internet Research Sills (component research, selection and purchasing)

Experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred

Education

Associates or equivalent in Engineering General
