Accounting Intern

Summary

Entry-level role responsible for executing routine accounting and analysis tasks. The intern will aid with the posting of transactions, data compilation, account analysis, reporting, and other monthly close procedures. This position will have exposure to roles including: accounting, financial analysis and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly journal entries and month-end reporting
  • General ledger reviews
  • Support for executive report packages
  • Compilation and analysis of key financial data
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to work a part-time schedule during school year and fulltime schedule during summer break
  • Working toward Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Must have proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Understanding of accounting concepts with a desire to learn how they are applied
  • Must be able to produce solutions with limited direction, be able to think and work individually
