Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst analyzes credit data and financial statements to establish credit limits for all customers and ensures that these are reviewed and updated at least every 12 months. This position will wear many hats and is essential for providing guidance on credit risks regarding customers. The Analyst will also interact with the sales function to ensure that customer shop orders are entered and released in compliance with approved terms and conditions. This position will also be responsible for contacting customers to reconcile statements/billings and to reinforce the terms and conditions of sale. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical communicator with excellent organizational, prioritizing and interpersonal skills.


  • Implements the credit and collection policy for Worthington Industries.
  • Establishes credit approval for new and existing customer credit limits.
  • Manages the resolution of customer short-pay and quality claims issues.
  • Assists the cash application group in identifying and applying unapplied cash.
  • Manages customer service issues including invoice and bill of lading copies, proof of delivery, etc.
  • Provides recommendations for process improvements including system enhancements, to become more efficient.
  • Manages the collection of past due receivable balances.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Telephone collection and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel)
  • Solid organization, analytical, and communication skills 
  • Continuing education units to remain current in the field
  • 0-2 Years of experience
