IT Project Coordinator

Summary

This role will manage multiple projects and initiatives across the Worthington Industries enterprise. Assists other Project Managers and teams with development and execution of project plans.  Will assist in the development and implementation of project management processes to augment Delivery Framework. 

Responsibilities

Manages projects all Business Units within Worthington Industries. Applies that PMO approved Delivery Framework, including: Project planning and tracking processes, Communication Planning, Risk Assessment, Project execution processes and Scope/Change Management processes

Accurate and timely status reporting and escalation, and project communication

Works with internal/external contacts:  May work with outside consultants during the life cycle of a project, may work with third party Vendors in the acquisition or development of software products, Interacts with Business Unit Management on a regular basis, close working relationship with other Project Mgrs, etc. 

Reports findings to PMO team and Sr. Management (notifies Senior Management of project risks and issues)

Participates in the implementation of Delivery Framework across all Business Units within Worthington Industries, including project plan tools and templates, Industry Best Practices

Desired Experience

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience presenting to Senior Managers

Maximum 3 years, minimum 1 year managing projects and project teams

Knowledge of PM best practices – some training taken

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good Presentation skills and facilitation

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel

Ability to identify process improvement opportunities
