Worthington Industries is looking for a Corporate Quality Intern to work part-time during the school year (16-20 hours per week) and full-time during the summer. The Corporate Quality Intern is responsible for assisting systems, programs and processes that support the organization’s daily business operations and quality management systems. Duties will include various tasks and activities regarding continuous improvement projects and resolution for production support issues. The corporate quality department is responsible for supporting quality management systems, supplier quality programs, and the IQS enterprise quality management software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support for operation to resolve issues. IQS User Help calls.
  • Support IQS Continuous Improvement Project activities.
  • Support ISO and Supplier Quality Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Develop analytical reports; monitor data integrity within the software applications
  • Data collection, analysis and root cause of of issues and corrective action

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with database structures and report writing tools (Crystal Reports). Solid understanding of testing methodologies for software upgrades/patches at the IT level and supporting user testing
  • Programming languages such as SQL is a plus
  • Understanding of documentation control and hierarchy
  • Ability to apply project management principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively; verbally and through written reports
  • Knowledge of basic Quality Management concepts
  • Effective presentation skills

Education/Training Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year college completion towards an Engineering or Technology Degree
