Sales Business Analyst

Summary

The Worthington Industries Rotation Experience & Development (WIRED) Program candidate will participate in a 12-18 month rotational program in which they will be responsible for developing knowledge and business skills in the manufacturing industry, while building strong relationships during each rotational assessment. The WIRED program is to provide the knowledge and resources to accelerate the learning curve at Worthington Industries. The Business Analyst works closely with several individuals at each rotation to ensure development goals are met. Strong emphasis will be placed on the ability to grow deep knowledge of the functional area. The analyst will be exposed to many facets of the business including on-site work in specified rotations. The career path will vary widely depending on interest, career alignment, and overall business need.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • SALES: Provide first class customer service to both internal and external customers. Process customer orders and manage customer needs successfully and timely. Work with internal departments on the production and shipping of product.
  • TECHNICAL SUPPORT / WARRANTY: Provide first class customer service to both internal and external customers. Diagnose and resolve customer product issues and questions. Demonstrate a strong understanding of product knowledge and application. Provide product training to customers and internal sales team.
  • TRANSPORTATION: Process shipping documents and arrange freight schedules. Manage inventory stock and delivery of product from factory production to shipping warehouse as well as process returned goods.
  • PRODUCTION PLANNING / SUPPLY CHAIN: Create and manage factory production schedules based on consumer supply and demand. Manage internal product/piece supply and demand. Communicate with sales team on finished good ETAs, production delays, pivot demands, etc.
  • PRODUCTION: Safely manufacturer quality parts on a fast-paced assembly line. Perform assembly, testing, problem solving, material handling, welding, paint line operation, press room operation, and quality control.

Education/Travel Required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience (sales and/or manufacturing experience preferred but not required)
  • 3.0 GPA or above preferred
  • Community and/or collegiate involvement
  • Ability to travel and work remotely for up to one month at a time
  • Willingness to relocate for a 4-6 month rotation
