Summary

The Regional Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, planning and on-time delivery.  This role is heavily reliant on strong communication and collaboration with operations, sales and purchasing.  This position must deal with monthly, weekly and daily changes to forecast that affect supply and production planning and ensure the right inventory in the correct quantity is available at the right time at the plants for processing. This requires an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to work efficiently and effectively with other functional areas to meet or exceed quality and delivery requirements. A very necessary and important responsibility for this position is troubleshooting customer complaints and working within the plant to resolve issues. Exceptional customer service skills are a must to be a successful candidate for this position. Ideally seeking someone with experience within the CPG/ Retail sector.

Responsibilities

  •  
  • S&OP - Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate plant input into the monthly S&OP.   Review accuracy and forecast for the plants and work with them on concerns and work with sales to determine root-cause reasons for over or under forecasts. Responsible for day to day execution of the S&OP plan for supply and production planning.  Responsible to react to monthly, weekly and daily changes to forecast that affect supply and production planning.
  • Supply and Production Planning - Work in conjunction with buyers, make planners, scheduling Mgrs.  Ensure timely, efficient and optimized execution of POs.  Wrk with regional buyer to conduct efficient cost trade-off to ensure optimal sourcing of raw items either from Mills or from other plants / Work with scheduling mgr to ensure optimal yield and efficient machine schedule.
  • Inventory and material management - Responsible for front-line total inventory accountability.  Keep track of inventory progression, Root cause increase (or shortage) of inventory.  Work with buy planner to reduce raw material inventory through use of substitutes, Use of excess at other plants, Ensure right inventory in right quantity is available at the right time at the plants for processing. 
  • Customer and Sales Orders - Work in conjunction with inside sales, review and determine MTS vs. MTO items, manage aged finished goods inventory, review order book to ensure date maintenance by ISR’s, troubleshoot customer complaints and work within plant to resolve issues. 
  • Strategy - Creates strategies for planning, fulfillment, inventory control, and distribution to support the production network with the highest degree of customer satisfaction, at the lowest cost, while aligning with the company’s business strategies.  Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows across material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing or receiving.
