Summary

The Talent Acquisition Lead will oversee the company’s recruiting and hiring process.  Will work closely with Human Resource Business Partners, Hiring Managers, and Recruiters to manage sourcing, interviewing and employment processes and any barriers that may surface. This role required prior recruiting experience along with leading a team and/or function. Seeking a team leader with a high degree of professional maturity who is able to make effective decisions quickly, act diplomatically, build relationships and make tough decision while maintaining positive relationships. The role will manage and measure  recruitment to ensure strong performance in hiring qualified employees to meet the company’s current and future needs. This position will direct oversight for the hourly and salaried contract recruiting team. 

Responsibilities

  • Influence Talent Acquisition strategy by anticipating the business and the hiring teams needs
  • Build strong relationships with multiple functional leaders to ensure the ability to influence, guide and drive the recruiting process
  • Update current and design new recruiting procedures
  • Identify steady streams of prospective talent in anticipation of future talent needs:  ensures recruitment sourcing strategies result in the most cost effective manner while producing desired results
  • Supervise the recruiting team and report on performance
  • Develop and implement effective ways to monitor and evaluate hiring manager satisfaction with strong collaboration skills
  • Track recruiting metrics (time to fill, cost per hire, capacity, etc.)
  • Implement and train on new sourcing methods (e.g. social recruiting and Boolean searches)
  • Review recruitment software and suggest the best option for company needs
  • Research and determine best job advertising options
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and ensure that hiring teams and leaders are effectively using competency based interviewing
  • Recommend ways to improve our employer brand
  • Coordinate with HR and hiring managers to forecast future hiring needs
  • Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations
  • Assist in building the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges and other partners
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience

  • Experience leading a recruiting team, function and recruiting processes within a mid-large corporate environment
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 plus years of proven work experience with the Recruiting field
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases
  • Experience with phone and in-person interviews, candidate screening and evaluation
  • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks
  • Ability to build trust and address conflict and issues in a positive and open manner with all levels of management
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management or Organizational Psychology
