As a Corporate Treasury Analyst, this position is responsible for the administration of cash management system including cash transfers and cash forecasting, short-term funding (borrowing and investments), support of division collection and disbursement activities and production of management reports. The Treasury Analyst is expected to make significant contributions to analytical projects and process improvement initiatives. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Also effective written/verbal communication with management, divisions, banks, and other corporate departments is required on almost a daily basis.


      Cash Management System

-       Evaluate and make recommendations on cash management improvements that may impact Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, etc.

-       Negotiate and resolve operational issues with banks.

-       Review bank account analysis reports and verify accuracy of services and fees.

-       Execute foreign exchange transactions.

-       Manage opening and closing of bank accounts and lockboxes.

-       Assist with the integration of acquisition companies into the Worthington cash management network.


       Daily Cash Management

-       Determine daily cash position.

-       Choose the best alternatives for borrowing or investing cash following policy constraints.

-       Investigate and resolve account exceptions (positive pay, bank errors, etc.).

        Cash Forecasting Model

-       Utilize banking systems, reports and spreadsheets to provide accurate cash position forecast.

-       Consolidate and update forecast information.



-       Maintain schedule of mandatory payments and ensure payments are made when due.

-       Maintain Treasury and Risk Playbooks and operations reference guide for the department.

-       Prepare quarterly debt covenant compliance reporting.


        Risk Management

-       Support in the compilation and analysis of underwriting information.

-       Manage issuance and distribution of automobile identification cards and certificates of insurance.

-       Assist in the Enterprise Risk Management program including drafting material for management, managing risk tracker and analyzing gaps.



-       Provide support to Treasury and Risk Management as needed including: preparing management presentations and reports and performing financial analysis etc.

-       Prepare month-end management reports.

-       Ad hoc projects as assigned.


Desired Experience


Bachelors Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting related discipline.

1 to 2 years of Treasury, Risk Management and/or Finance experience preferred.  Entry level candidates will also be considered.


Essential Skills:

Must be comfortable managing multiple tasks at one time and have strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Capable of supporting peak demands for time on special projects.

Must be a quick learner, have strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and be able to understand new concepts. 

Proficient in the use of PC’s with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
