The Quality Manager is a member of the facility staff and responsible for compliance to regulatory and customer-specific requirements.  The position is responsible for designing and implementing a robust quality system.   Should be comfortable interacting with and influencing multiple stakeholders.  


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to regulatory and customer-specific requirements
  • Responsible for leading the facility in reducing supplier, internal (scrap/rework) and customer PPM defects.
  • Develop and implement a robust quality system across the facility
  • Responsible for hiring, training, developing and supervising the quality department.
  • Mentor and train inspectors to develop root cause problem solving capability


Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Quality system implementation experience – demonstrated ability to identify the most effective system and work ethic needed to see to its implementation. 
  • Quality system knowledge including ISO, ASME Section VIII Div.1
  • Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively; verbally and through written reports
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of personnel and with multiple departments within the organization
  • Experience in the RTP corrosion resistance industry a plus
  • Experience with API-Q-1, RTP-1 STI and UL a plus but not required



Education / Training Required

  • Minimum of 7 years manufacturing/quality experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business preferred
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • CQM (Certified Quality Manager) status through ASQ (American Society for Quality) preferred
  • Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
