SUMMARY: The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for providing both administrative and analytical support to the human resource department. Support includes, but is not limited to, the following activities: various filing and documentation preparation; assist in or completion of new hire on boarding and orientation; assistance with or the development of work products for various functional areas within the department; answering questions for employees and work with benefit vendors to resolve employee issues; and coordination of various HR events (meetings, webinars, etc.). This position performs varied project related assistance for one or more of the functional areas in the HR department. May also be responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of various human resource related information. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, customer service focused, problem solver that has a strong overall knowledge of HR practices, laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinates various administrative tasks, including filing under generally accepted human resource practices, preparation of new hire packets, answering the phone, answering employee questions, etc.
• Reviews, prepares and analyzes various human resource related reports (i.e., headcount, monthly contactor reporting, illness and excused time analysis, budget/expense reports, various reconciliations, etc.).
• Provides human resources information by maintaining reports such as, employee service award dates, performance reviews, etc.
• Coordinates, develops and processes payroll change forms as well as compiling and entering new employee information into the system.
• Performs miscellaneous project related support (assistance with or development) of work products for the HR functional areas (i.e., survey participation, open enrollment assistance, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned:  This position also provides administrative duties for the facility, including but not limited to supporting managment staff and community events. 

REQUIREMENTS:
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the Internet
• Good communication and relationship building skills
• Possess strong organizing and prioritizing skills
• Strong customer-service orientation
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material
• High attention to detail
• Work productively in an environment with high levels of interruption

• Proven ability to work independently
• Excellent listening and verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization

Education/Training Required:
• High School diploma
• At least 2 years of administrative support experience
• Experience with Oracle ERP preferred
