The Launch Manager is accountable for successfully leading cross functional teams to introduce a new product, product family, or process by planning, managing and implementing the launch program. The Launch Manager will also coordinate vehicle launch related activities and supporting the Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain team for the benefit of TWB automotive OEM customers.


  • Spearhead & support the product launch from concept through SOP
  • Support launches at all North American locations and host associated Business Gate meetings for the launch of all new products
  • Work closely with Account Managers, Engineering, Key Operational and Supply Chain resources as well as CAD personnel and the TWB Quality Department once a Service or Prototype order is received
  • Support Operations with project related documentation and development of operational workflows, etc. 
  • First point of contact with customer for any line claims, delivery discrepancies, or QC issues during the prototype phase and into the launch and ramp up
  • Act as the primary contact with OEM customer during the launch phase of new tailor welded blank or coil product introduction
  • Support trial build activities, ensuring customer development milestones are met
  • Cooperate with Supply Chain team to monitor inventory levels to support trial and staggered SOP activities
  • Effectively communicate and maintain working relations with vendors and OSPs to support the launch phase of the project (relating to both product and equipment procurement)
  • Host and facilitate customer and vendor meetings
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring all launch phase activities lead to the correct product deliveries and meet time-frame expectations
  • Ensure good communication flow with the internal support function contacts (the QC engineer, Sales & Supply Chain Team)
  • Become fluent in Oracle software with the ability to create new items, new bills of material, new routing structures, provide incoming and outbound releases, and a multitude of other functions needed to develp a new item
  • Initiate EDI communication and provide contact information to the WI EDI specialists.  This often includes working as a liaison between WI EDI specialists and TWB customers, suppliers, and different mills
  • Upon SOP, the Launch Manager is often required to completely manage produciton orders for the first several weeks of production, sometimes well into the campaign
  • Responsible for the APQP process in coherence with IATF requirements

  • Education to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Driven to work in a fast paced, pressured, customer-focused industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.



  • Must be physically able to freely access all areas of the plant & grounds.
  • Have the ability to travel as needed to other plant locations via most expeditious means.
