Increase shareholder value by managing and developing maintenance employees & processes in the spirit of Our Philosophy. Responsible for technician safety, leadership, personal development, & continuous improvement of the maintenance department and plant processes while striving for World Class machine reliability. Provides & overseas maintenance functions for the facility including building utility systems, equipment, & building maintenance. The Maintenance Manager is accountable for asset performance and conducts daily asset performance reviews. Assigns follow-up activities on all equipment related failures and incorporates this into the maintenance management strategy. This position determines and coordinates the need for outside contractors, making sure safety, environmental, work scope objectives, and departmental goals are being met. The ideal candidate is an organized leader, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure that daily operations are running effectively and efficiently.


  • Accountable for the Health & Safety Program for all of the buildings assigned resources in support of the plant goals.
  • Performs/verifies Layered Safety Audits and Hazard Assessments as necessary.
  • Assures Lockout/Tagout procedures are in place and audits the process
  • Assures that audits of standard safety procedures are completed and adjusts as necessary.
  • Reviews/updates maintenance workload and priorities with Planners.
  • Develop and monitors all area Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – leading and lagging KPIs
  • Accountable for Equipment reliability performance of the facility
  • Develops a world class equipment reliability program
  • Works on long-term maintenance/engineering solutions, projects, etc.
  • Works with other Area Managers on safety, equipment or building related issues.
  • Assist teams with continuous improvement initiatives (driving safety, quality and process efficiencies)
  • Selects and plans continuous improvement projects
  • Completes Performance evaluations and interaction
  • Identify training needs and coordinate cross training opportunities
  • Attends Manager, safety, maintenance and management review meetings.
  • Oversees maintenance/MRO purchasing employee evaluations.
  • Works with outside contractors/vendors.
  • Works with plant and corporate engineering on short-term projects, machine upgrades and continuous improvement projects, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

  • OSHA training certification
  • Experience with Oracle EAM, other maintenance planning software
  • Has a vision for developing a world class maintenance organization
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC equipment and components
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team based organization
  • Good understanding of the business goals and objectives with the ability to make sound decisions based on business conditions
  • Ability to multi-task several tasks and priorities at the same time
  • Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills, Excel, Word, E-mail and Oracle
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC drawings
  • Detailed oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization
  • 5-8 years of experience in industrial maintenance repair
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent Supervisory/Managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
