Summary

TWB in Monroe, MI, is seeking a Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician with a proven ability to troubleshoot and complete advanced mechanical and electrical repairs in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. This position is responsible for preventative and overall facility maintenance and must possess in-depth multi-trade knowledge with the ability to complete work with little or no direction.  A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all maintenance quality levels are met by continuous development and education.  

Responsibilities

 

  • Makes advanced repairs and adjustments to mechanical and electrical devices
  • Successfully troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems
  • Modifies PLC and HMI programming
  • Ability to work rotation or set schedule as needed
  • Complete a thorough development plan on an established schedule
  • Ability to complete online and campus courses as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned
  • Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction
  • Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform other duties as required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5+ years of maintenance experience
  • PLC experience a plus

CURRENT SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR SUCCESSFULLY OBTAIN REQUIREMENTS ON An established timeline:          

  • Willing to learn and follow basic safety training including lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, and confined space trainings
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and code books
  • Advanced knowledge of relay logic, AC/DC motor drives, PLC and SLC and motor control circuits, modifies PLC & HMI programming
  • Capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
  • Meter usage and ability to take basic measurements
  • Complete knowledge of standard operating procedures
  • Complete company provided CPR and first aid training

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
