Position Summary

Position will co-develop and execute sales strategies for the Marcellus/Utica Shale Basin.  The individual will create opportunities through voice of customer exercises, manage open opportunities and extend our relationships within key target accounts.  Position will be accountable for achieving the key metrics for growing sales and profitability as set by the Oil & Gas Equipment leadership team.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop key account relationships via conducting regular (quarterly) structured meetings with relevant metrics to include: On Time Delivery, Quality, Pricing, Design, New Products, and Forecast
  • Strive to meet Oil & Gas Equipment commercial objectives via customer discovery, development and crucial conversations.
  • Ensures team is aligned with strong goals with accountable measurement criteria
  • Co-Owner of regional freight improvement strategies with logistics team
  • Must creatively find ways to increase margin opportunity annually
  • Continually develops Key Account Manager, Account Specialist and Customer Service and provides quarterly formal feedback.
  • Works to aid in network development across key functional teams with the customer matrix
  • Supports the collection of market pricing, external customer strategy and planning which turns into a committed forecast.
  • Utilized key account reviews on a bimonthly bases to evaluate performance of relationships and people.
  • Engages team to find cost out opportunities at the customer design level
  • Required to visit customer offices monthly or at reasonable regular intervals to deepen relationships
  • Strives to obtain significant product knowledge and finds ways to create training opportunities for team
  • Responses to customer inquiries and key internal stake holders with a sense of urgency
  • Builds cross functional team and customer trust, values others, creative problem solving, and demonstrates high integrity.
  • Participates in plant variance reviews
  • Oversees data entry accuracy which drives significant financial decisions
  • Owns the explanation and root cause of regional credits
  • Instills a passion for driving deep relationships with core customers

 

Education / Training Required

  • 5 to 10 years direct Key Account Management required
  • Bachelor’s degree (technical degree preferred)
  • Independent decision based on good judgment
  • Should understand and live the Worthington Philosophy and Golden Rule guidelines
  • Advanced communications skills (Verbal and Written) 
  • Strong understanding of processing equipment and fluid dynamics preferred
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Strong MS office Skills (Word, Excel and Power Point applications)
