Manage projects, repairs, and preventive maintenance for all buildings, machinery, and equipment throughout the plant.  Lead and implement enhanced preventative maintenance programs. Position is intended as a supplement to current maintenance leadership with supervisory responsibilities for programs and during leadership absences. Development role for eventual succession to existing department leadership.

Key Position Results

  • Timely repair of breakdowns
  • Timely completion of engineering / maintenance projects
  • Reduction of maintenance costs through root cause analysis & preventive/predictive maintenance improvements
  • Reduction of equipment and machinery downtimes
  • Implementation of training and technician development programs

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze downtime, performance rates, and other equipment data to prioritize refurbishment, TPM, reliability, and other preventative maintenance
  • Perform engineering and design work for any job for which it is required
  • Purchase parts and equipment as needed for projects, repairs, and critical spare program
  • Schedule engineering & maintenance work throughout the plant
  • Plan, Lead, and Sustain LEAN initiatives
  • Coordinate training and ensure maintenance personnel development          10
  • Develop productivity tools / procedural enhancements that allow work to be completed in a more efficient manner
  • Assist in development of capital expenditure plan, and coordinate capital appropriation requests as needed to meet this schedule
  • Schedule employees to cover projects, repairs, and preventive maintenance

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities    

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Management & employee relations skills
  • LEAN production experience
  • Ability to be detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Root-Cause Analysis
  • Proficiency in Failure Mode Effects Analysis

Education / Training Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Manufacturing Management Development Training
