Summary

As an Operations Manager at our Pomona facility, this role is responsible for managing all plant operations in an efficient manner to meet customer expectations. They will be responsible for all facets of plant operations. The main objective of the position is to build, nurture, and maintain the relationship of the employees and customers by abiding to the WI Philosophy.  The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure that daily plant operations are running effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and manages the facility in a cost effective manner.
  • Maintains the philosophic relationship on the production floor (Communication).
  • Manages the plant to ensure on time delivery to customer.
  • Responsible for the positive/negative impact of EVA – All P&L responsibility except margin & big spend items.
  • Manages and improves the quality of the product.
  • Creates an environment and mentality toward safety.
  • Supervises, mentors, trains, etc. plant personnel.
  • Manages inventory accuracy.
  • Manages the staffing of the plant.
  • Involved in special projects as needed.
  • Oversees the goal planning for the plant.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

A minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing environment; engineering experience preferred.

Knowledge of Composite Industry preferred.

Strong management/leadership skills

Ability to work in a team based organization

Good understanding of our business goals and objectives with the ability to make sound decisions based on business conditions

Strong organizational skills

Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills - MP2, Excel, Word, E-mail and Oracle

Detailed oriented

Strong analytical skills

Excellent listening and verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Advanced product knowledge

Some knowledge of purchasing

Some knowledge of financial planning

Education

Bachelors or equivalent in Engineering General
