Summary

As a Territory Manager within our Cylinders business, this role will develop new business and retaining existing customers, while focusing on profitability.  Worthington’s Territory Manager will be recognized as the leading solutions provider to our customer's cylinder needs.  The Territory Manager will have all commercial responsibility for the New England region of the US.  This includes ME, CT, NH, VT, RI, NJ and Eastern NY.  Relocation is not required for the candidate residing within this region.  

This position will primarily be responsible for managing the sales of the Industrial Product portfolio including but not limited to:

  • Refrigerant Cylinders (refillable and non-refillable)
  • Cryogenic and Microbulk tanks
  • LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) Products
  • Industrial Gas Cylinders

Responsibilities

 

  • Identification of market needs, coordination of start-up/working strategies to sustain profitable growth in territory
  • Support of Key Account partners and business partners
  • Deliver product and pricing recommendations to business leaders based on customer needs
  • Implementation of sales / marketing strategies at the direction of the sales management team
  • Travel territory to identify and acquire new customers and partners
  • Utilize current CRM system to effectively manage territory, business opportunities and provide visibility to a cross functional management team
  • Schedule, plan, prepare and lead productive face-to-face customer meetings
  • Travel extensively for customer meetings (75% of time)  
  • Prepare customer quotations and supply agreements 
  • Forecast customer demand for internal planning purposes 
  • Build and develop strong relationships with key decision makers at all levels within customer’s organization (Will require customer entertainment)
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
  • Ongoing analysis of market environments, competition, market share data, industry trends, regulatory issues, etc.
  • Interact with Worthington employees in functional areas including but not limited to Inside Sales, Price Desk, Supply Chain and Innovation

Desired Experience

 

  • A Minimum of 3 years B2B sales experience, Industrial Gas or related field preferred
  • Advanced communications and organizational skills
  • Strong business acumen and decision making skills
  • Strong MS office Skills (Word, Excel and Power Point applications)
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, goal-driven and pro-active personality with good interpersonal skills and a team-player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

Bachelors in Marketing or equivalent
