Summary

The primary role of the Inspector position is inspecting parts of cylinders for stress and failure using multiple machines per regulatory and internal requirements. The role performs regulatory and internal customer specific testing of the cylinders using several different methods. The Inspector must be able to read and analyze all results and complete all necessary paperwork that accompanies the inspection process. A successful candidate is a self-motivated, problem solver who has a strong work ethic to ensure all specifications and quality are met. The open position will be for 2nd shift.. 

Responsibilities

·         Ensures safe work conditions and activities

·         Helps ensure all regulatory requirements are being met

·         Helps ensure that all internal product requirements are being met

·         Helps provide assistance to production associates in determining product conformance to regulatory, internal and customer specifications

 

Desired Experience

  •  Has a strong belief in the Worthington Philosophy
  •  Has strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
  •    Has a desire and willingness to develop further technical and quality knowledge (may include college courses, industry certifications, etc.) A technical background is a plus but not mandatory.
  •  Has problem solving skills (IE 5 why’s)
  • Has basic computer skills (knowledge of Excel a strong plus)
  • Has basic knowledge and navigation skills within IQS
  •  Attendance, Attitude, Adaptability
  •  Is approachable
  • Works well under pressure (Stability)
  •  Demonstrates strong people skills (listening, caring, directing) Must be able to work with others.
