Summary

As an RT Level II Radiographer at our Wooster, OH facility that is part Worthington's Cylinders business, you will be performing, interpreting, and documenting the results of radiographic examinations performed on-site. The Radiographer must be capable of maintaining the radiographic (RT) nondestructive testing equipment, performing equipment calibrations, adhering to all regulatory safety requirements, and interpreting radiographs made from various welding processes according but not limited to ASME, AWS, and API Codes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct radiographic tests to confirm quality or detect discontinuities (defects)
  • Ability to perform RT examinations in compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable codes or standards and evaluate results
  • Interpret radiographs
  • Organize and report test results
  • Fill out daily radiation and testing reports
  • Hands-on implementation of company RT examinations and radiation safety
  • Ability to maintain required personnel certifications applicable to company, local, state, and federal requirements
  • Set up, operate, and calibrate / validate nondestructive testing equipment
  • May perform other nondestructive test procedures according to qualifications
  • May perform specialized inspections
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned by management
Desired Experience

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Level II RT certification, current or within last six months
  • SNT-TC-1A Certification for VT, PT, MT desired, but not required
  • Documented evidence of formal training and experience
  • Current Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) or applicable agreement state card.  Certification for radioactive materials (RAM) or combo required
  • Experience with safe use of isotopes and associated equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform RT examinations and make interpretations to applicable manufacturing codes
